R F Racing backs a winner

29th June 2017by galinar84News

We’re a firm favourite with Richard Fahey Racing Ltd, so when needed to refresh their anti-skid surfacing they asked for us once again.

This racehorse training facility had 235 winners in 2015 and another 198 in 2016. They wanted a team with a thoroughbred pedigree to deliver a surface that would help to ensure their horses (and staff) stay safe and well cared for.

This time round we laid a total of 657 square metres of anti-skid surface treatment at their training facility which is located on the edge of the Howardian Hills in North Yorkshire – a place that can expect inclement weather in winter. Using specially developed materials we created a high-specification surface that will increase safety for vehicles, animals and people at the facility all year round.

Riggotts were called upon for this project due to our exceptional workmanship. As we’d carried out similar work for the same company previously, they were well aware of the high standards we would deliver.

With our experienced team taking care of the surface, RF Racing can concentrate on romping home to even more victories in the future.

New Woking Fire Station for Surrey Fire & Rescue

5th June 2016by galinar84News

Surrey Fire and Rescue’s new home on Golsworth Road in Woking will officially open this month but has already been operational for two weeks. The new station, which replaces the old station on Cawsey Way in the town’s centre, took nearly 15 months to build. The six-storey high modern building is an attractive addition to Woking’s structural landscape and features four floors of affordable managed housing above the fire station.

The fire station itself houses six-vehicle appliance bays and modern training facilities. Riggotts got right to work lining over 500 metres of anti-skid surfacing, in addition to over 1000 metres of thermoplastic lining, 100 metres of hatching, lettering, arrows and give way symbols to the client’s specifications.

During an emergency response situation, proper lines and lettering are essential so that fire and rescue teams can navigate in and around the station safely. For this reason, Riggotts’ high standard of workmanship and wealth of experience was a perfect match for the job in Woking. We’re proud to be a reliable lining choice for a client whose job is protecting the community.

Focus On Anti-Skid Road Surfacing Treatments

31st March 2015by galinar84News

As leading road marking specialists, Riggotts understand the need for optimal safety for drivers and pedestrians alike. Alongside our road marking and line marking services, we also offer an array of anti-skid road surfacing treatments.

We use the highest quality materials for these surface treatments including a specialist MMA resin, two-part epoxy and hot-applied anti-skid resin. All the materials that we use hold a BBA Type 1 approval, comply with the requirements of clause 924 and are Sector 7 Highway approved.

As with all our line marking and surface covering services, we use the best equipment and highly trained staff to ensure that all work is completed to the highest possible standard and within the timescale. Anti-skid road surface treatments are useful for many purposes and for various different vehicles, for example, cycle paths, bus lanes and car parks. They can even be used for surfaces primarily used by pedestrians, such as on towpaths and pavements. Anti-skid road surface treatments can be used alongside other types of road and line markings to help mark specific areas and give instructions to motorists and cyclists.

They are particularly useful around entrances and exits, ramps and crossing approaches as the highly visible colours make these areas clear and noticeable so drivers are aware that they may need to stop, give way or turn very soon and being anti-skid means that there is a far lower risk of accidents in the event that a driver or cyclist has to stop quickly.

All of our surface treatments can be created to your particular specifications and use our industry knowledge together with clients’ requirements to deliver the best solution for your needs. Much like our line markings, our anti-skid road markings are very durable so they stay looking bright and clear for many years.
