Disabled parking

Clearly marked accessible bays are both a legal requirement and essential for visitor comfort. We provide bright, durable disabled parking bay markings that ensure compliance and easy recognition.

Pedestrian walkways

Our line painting services include high-contrast pedestrian walkways that clearly separate foot traffic from vehicles, keeping everyone safe and guiding movement across the site.

Directional arrows

Directional arrows and road markings help drivers navigate your car park safely and efficiently, which improves flow and reduces congestion.

EV bay markings

Our high-contrast, colourful EV bay line markings efficiently direct drivers to the right spot in your car park.

Speed roundels

Bold, anti-slip roundels support safe driving speeds and efficient traffic management throughout your car park.

White lining

Our white line painting experts deliver crisp, durable markings that define parking bays, traffic lanes, and boundaries, keeping your car park organised and professional.

Anti-slip paint for a safer car park

Choosing the right type of paint is crucial to ensuring your car park markings stand the test of time and survive the great British weather. For some of our clients, safety is their primary objective, and an anti-slip coating is the obvious choice.

Oil, antifreeze, and icy conditions can make car park surfaces treacherous. Where safety is a concern for our clients, we backroll our paint with aggregate to create an anti-slip finish that reduces the risk of accidents.

We did just that for the Orbital Shopping Park in Swindon (pictured), working through the night to apply over 1500m² of MMA paint with aggregate for a colourful, anti-slip finish.

MMA paint is fast-curing, allowing for a quick reopening of the car park. It’s also resistant to chemicals and hardy enough to withstand heavy traffic and extreme weather, so it lasts longer than many traditional paints.

FAQs: Car park line marking

Thermoplastic paint is the most popular type of line-marking paint. It’s highly durable and resistant to wear and tear, making it ideal for areas with heavy traffic.

This paint adheres well to asphalt and concrete surfaces, providing a strong and stable finish.

The cost of white lining is determined by the size and complexity of the job. If old and faded lines need to be removed first, the job will likely cost more. Complex designs and symbols also add to the price. Many car park marking contractors offer bulk discounts for large areas.

Call our car park lining services team on 0800 848 8414 for a detailed quote.

In the UK, the standard width for car park markings is typically 50mm to 100mm. The exact width may vary depending on the type of marking and its purpose. Thermoplastic car park markings are usually closer to 100mm for added durability and visibility.

While there are no legal requirements for the width of markings, they should be clear and consistent throughout the car park.

The lifespan of car park line marking depends on the material used, traffic volume, weather conditions, and maintenance. Paint-based line markings typically last 1 to 3 years, whereas thermoplastic markings can last 5 to 10 years (or more).

Dirt, oil, and debris can affect the visibility of line markings. Regular cleaning is essential to keep your car park marking looking its best. Inspect your markings once or twice a year, and address any damage with touch-ups when required. Most reputable car park line marking companies can help with repairs and maintenance.
