Running rings ‘round Emirates Stadium

15th March 2019by galinar84News

Principle Global Branding Implementation called out the Riggotts team to mark the running track for Arsenal’s ‘Be a Gunner. Be a Runner.’ event which will be held at Emirates Stadium (the third-biggest football stadium in the UK) on Saturday, 23 March 2019.

The event is expected to attract over 500 people (that’s over 1000 feet) on the day so these were markings that not only had to withstand heavy foot traffic but also the test of time.

Riggotts concluded that their specialist Preformed Thermoplastic would be the ultimate solution to this client’s needs.

Preformed Thermoplastic allows the team to deliver greater detail – which was essential due to the intricacy of the design the client required.

Another benefit of the specialised line marking method is that the designs are created off-site, minimising the amount of downtime at the client’s premises.

Boasting over 25 years’ experience, Riggotts employ a variety of advanced techniques and specialist line marking services to deliver the highest standard of service every time. Visit our ‘Contact’ page here to learn more about what Riggotts can do for you.

Just did it

20th November 2017by galinar84News

International advertising agency Wieden+Kennedy have produced well-known work for clients such as Nike and Honda. Back in 2010, we created line graphics on pavements at their London office.

As always, we carried out the job with durable products that would last. So it was only recently, seven years on, they contacted us for a retouch. Familiar with our professional approach and quality finishes, Complete Facilities & Property Maintenance Company subcontracted us to reline the floor graphics.

We’re looking forward to another phone call in another seven years or so.

Setting the standard at the Olympic Legacy Park

25th September 2017by galinar84News

The Olympic Legacy Park (OLP) in Sheffield is a 35-acre site that is a hub for health and wellbeing research, learning and training.

Jessica Ennis-Hill and Nicola Adams are just two of the notable names that trained here. As well as outstanding sports facilities, OLP is home to much more – including a state-of-the-art research and development centre that’s set to be the greatest in the world.

People move fast around here, and our team was no exception. We delivered over 400m of lining and 500m2 of solid coloured areas in record time, as well as adding chevrons and numbering.

After another successful job by our team, we look forward to seeing which sporting greats will develop next. Good luck everyone!

Flying high at Heathrow

18th August 2017by galinar84News

We landed a job at Heathrow Airport thanks to our relationship with The Alan Nutall Partnership Ltd. They’re just one of many clients who repeatedly return to us, knowing we’ll deliver quality markings efficiently. As well as a pristine finish, our experience in creating precise client logos came into play here.

The line markings and logos required were for Good to Go parking, who now offer a Drop and Ride service to customers at Terminals 4 and 5. You can literally drop off your car, hand over your keys, and let them park for you. We’ve helped to make this stress-free parking experience even easier, by adding clear markings and logos to the site.

To keep disruption to a minimum, we used a fast-drying, long-lasting one pack epoxy. This created the Heathrow Good to Go logos, as well as 1380m of lining, 126m of hatching and 619m of Colourplus. So wherever travellers are headed, finding their way around Good to Go Drop and Ride will be a breeze.

Right on the money

28th July 2017by galinar84News

Cushman & Wakefield are one of the largest real estate companies in the world. They’re well experienced in subcontracting, so when it comes to line marking and surfacing, they choose Riggott & Co Ltd time and time again.

This was no exception when it came to markings for a newly built office space facility in Peterborough. Access House is a three-storey, 40,000sq foot office block which is home to Access Prepaid Worldwide, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mastercard. The facility is based in Cygnet Park, a base for brands including Volvo, Kelway and News International.

Cushman & Wakefield know that with us, the numbers really add up. With over 20 years’ experience of lining marking across the UK, we were their first choice to deliver great results. Our team used one pack epoxy paint to line seven-speed roundels, one motorcycle logo, 498 numbers and letters and 20m of hatching. As always, our operatives were professional and efficient; we were proud to receive direct feedback from the client:

“The guys that were here on Saturday were absolutely smashing and did a great job.”

Having a reliable, flexible and expert team is vital to us, so we never use subcontractors. We value high-quality standards and service. We believe it’s what makes us the number one choice for so many contractors.

No Shock Here: Riggotts Line Electric Vehicle Charging Bays

2nd August 2016by galinar84News

As more people become aware of the environmental impact of driving cars fuelled by petrol and diesel, electric and hybrid cars have become more popular than ever. While hybrid cars use a combination of petrol and an electric motor, electric vehicles run off of the battery alone and must be re-charged after energy stores are depleted. Since 2013 there has been a huge surge in the number of electric vehicles on the road, from a mere 3,500 to over 75,000 as of July 2016. For this reason, the number of electric charging points across the UK has been steadily increasing.

Charging point logos 001Riggotts have been contracted to line vehicle charging bays at various locations including Coventry University & Nestlé sites in Buxton and Dalston. Using One Pack Epoxy, our team can work to custom specifications or provide a variety of design options for the client who has not yet decided on a design.

Riggotts To The Rescue At Wembley Stadium

4th February 2016by galinar84News

Riggotts are pleased to announce that we’ve won the tender to line the service area of Wembley Stadium. The bid request arrived after the Stadium’s previous contractors were unable to fulfil the contract, and therefore a quick replacement was needed. As always, Riggotts’ were readily available to take on the new project. Wembley Stadium opened in 2007 to replace the original Stadium, which had been a part of the London skyline since 1923. Aside from being the largest stadium in the United Kingdom, it’s the second-largest in Europe after Camp Nou in Barcelona. In 2012, Wembley hosted the summer Olympics; now, it’s home to the English National football team and is a venue for major acts such as Coldplay, Muse and One Direction, among others. The Stadium has also hosted American NFL games and can be hired for private events such as weddings and conferences. Many would agree Wembley Stadium is an iconic part of modern British culture.

Riggotts have previous experience lining Wembley Stadium; last year, we lined the main entrance. This year’s project will entail using one pack epoxy line marking paint to line a service road, which will aid safety and traffic flow around the stadium. There’s no project too big or small for Riggotts, and we’re proud to be chosen time and time again by esteemed clients such as Wembley Stadium.   **Cover photo found at http://www.wembleystadium.com**

Riggotts: Focus Line Marking

11th February 2015by galinar84News

At Riggotts we are market-leading experts in all forms of line marking including bespoke floor graphic line marking which is durable, versatile and stays looking vibrant for a very long time.

The old style of floor graphics involved painting on to asphalt surfaces which looks perfectly fine when it has been freshly applied, but over time suffers discolouration, cracks and obvious wear, particularly because it is used in areas such as car parks where it is driven over frequently. At Riggotts we use the highest quality of MMA resins, specialist line marking paints and highly durable thermoplastic that is both quick drying and looks as good as new for years.

They also come in a range of vibrant colours meaning that they are highly visible, versatile and easy to match to a company or brand’s specific colours. The fast application and drying time of our line marking methods allow normal business to continue as swiftly as possible. Our specially developed preformed resin can be laser shaped into any design needed and is highly flexible so it can go over uneven surfaces without cracking or lifting off.

Our team of experts can create any design that you need and your new floor graphics are applied and dried in a short time period without sacrificing on quality and they will remain looking vibrant and highly visible for years.

Click and Collect Asda Project

3rd December 2014by galinar84News

Following various warehouse and car park line marking painting projects for Asda over the last few years, we have been appointed by CBES to create ‘Click and Collect’ bays at more than 200 Asda stores across the UK.

Asda is introducing the ‘Click and Collect’ service at selected stores across its estate to enable customers who order online before 1 pm to pick up their grocery shopping later the same day from a participating store.

Two of our experienced liners Paul Young and Melvin Ford have already completed 30 ‘Click and Collect’ schemes, ably assisted by apprentice liner, William Riggott.

Explains Paul: “We were working to a tight deadline but pulled out all the stops to deliver the first 30 schemes in just over a week.

“Located in the store’s car park, the ‘Click and Collect’ bays are brightly coloured and feature the words Collection Point so they’re really easy for customers to find. When creating the bays we first mark out the blue square that contains all the relevant information. The square is then filled with blue thermoplastic to ensure it’s highly visible and, once that is dry, we are able to add the lettering.”

Concludes Nick Riggott, commercial director at Riggotts: “The work Paul, Melvin and William have done so far is spot on. They’ve worked hard to complete the first batch of bays well within the deadline and the client is very impressed.”

London Motor Show

30th November 2014by galinar84Case Studies

Riggotts took pole position at the London Motor Show after creating a temporary race track and show stand for car enthusiasts to enjoy.

The Nottinghamshire-based line marking company was appointed by stand designers to mark out the Aston Martin stand inside the hall at the Excel Exhibition Centre, as well as create a mini race track for Mazda.

The designers were looking for a line marking material that would provide flexibility in bright colours and could be quickly applied due to the tight turnaround of the exhibition.

Both jobs were completed using Esseline CR, one of the latest products in the company’s unique Esseline range.

Esseline CR is a cost-effective and highly durable chlorinated rubber line marking and surface coating material, designed specifically for use on both external and internal asphalt and concrete surfaces.

The markings are dry for wheels in just 15 minutes and will retain its colour brilliance in all conditions. This ensures it stays looking as good throughout the show as it did on the first day.

The team worked throughout the weekend to mark out the required areas alongside other contractors who were also working to extremely tight deadlines.

The results were superb and really added to the high-class racing theme on the Aston Martin stand and race track areas.

Riggott’s Go For ‘Gold’ At The London 2012 Olympics

20th January 2012by galinar84News0

Riggotts, the UK’s leading line marking company was awarded the contract for marking out and painting the 2012 London Olympic VIP Hospitality events area. The most outrageously complicated design had to be replicated over the entire external area, ready to be walked over by world leaders, VIP’s and of course the Olympic Committee.

Riggotts was asked to match to the architect’s exact colour code, as well as guarantee completion of the area 1 week before the opening of the 2012 London Olympic Games. All those involved in the Olympics were impressed with the organisation, implementation and turnaround of the project. All work was completed in just 3 days, against the wettest weather period for 100 years. Well done all involved.
