Captive shot blast and hydroblast road marking removal

We use various surface preparation tools and techniques comprising traditional and innovative methods. These include:

  • Damage-free hydro blast road marking removal
  • Captive shot blast line removal
  • Captive shot blast surface preparation
  • Scabbling and surface scarifying
  • Diamond grinding

Our teams use hand-held equipment and ride-on machinery, depending on the method.

Our surface preparation treatments can be purchased separately or as part of a full-service package, which includes services such as car park marking, road marking, warehouse line marking, and grounds maintenance.

Shotblasting

Our most recent line removal and preparation treatment, introduced in 2012, is the captive shot blasting method. It provides quick results, is cost-effective, and dust-free.

Hydroblasting

Hydroblasting uses high-pressure water jets to efficiently remove line markings without damaging surfaces or using chemicals, offering a faster, safer, and more environmentally friendly alternative.

Diamond grinding

This technique uses abrasive diamond dust to remove the very top layer of the road surface and any old paint. It is cost-effective and produces professional results.

Captive shotblasting for Ayrshire customer

Using the captive shotblasting machine developed in-house, we prepared over 450 square meters of surface for a returning customer in Ayrshire. Our ride-on shotblaster enabled us to turn around the job quickly and effectively. We followed this up with 2844 meters of line painting and 964 square meters of sealant. Investing in surface preparation improved the adhesion of the markings for durability and longevity.
