Health & Safety Line Marking for Travis Perkins

27th September 2019by galinar84News

With health and safety becoming of ever-growing importance in the workplace, making your site safe for both customers and employees is now more important than ever.

In 2018 alone, over 30 people were fatally injured in the UK from incidents involving moving traffic in the workplace.

Riggotts provide simple solutions to divide foot traffic from motorized vehicles to help prevent injuries such as these.

Taking the health and safety of your workforce and customers seriously is an essential part of running any successful modern business and returning client, Travis Perkins, certainly acknowledges this.

Travis Perkins enlisted Riggotts to redesign their floor plan and help create a safer workspace at their Harlow branch through the use of specialist white lining.

The client tasked Riggotts with improving and enhancing the white markings on their concrete surfaces, improving the contrast to help them stand out in poorer lighting – ensuring that both pedestrians and motor traffic can see them in an effort to reduce risk of injury.

Riggotts devised a solution, a black base was laid onto the surface prior to newly refreshed white lines to create a bolder contrast and improved visibility.

Working closely with the client allowed Riggotts to achieve a more comprehensive understanding of what the client needed, whilst delivering the works on time and to budget.

The freshly designed line-markings were carried out in Single-Pack epoxy paint to ensure durability and longevity.

In total, the Riggotts team put down a total of six arrows, 208 metres squared of solid colours, 3315 metres of 100mm wide lines, 382 metres of hatching, 138 letters/numbers, 11 pedestrian logos and one accessible parking bay.
