Vital Car Park Line Marking in Derby

Our specialist paint teams have recently completed a comprehensive line marking project for a newly constructed multi-storey car park at a busy NHS hospital, including the installation of parking bay lines, walkway tram lines, logos and wayfinding markings.

In order to meet the escalating need for NHS services, the surface level car park was replaced with a modern five level car park that significantly increases parking provision by creating 500 new spaces for the site. The improved wayfinding markings also aims to reduce confusion and improve traffic flow within this high capacity environment.

The Project

With years of experience under our belt in delivering successful multi-storey projects and with a short deadline until the car park’s opening, we did not hesitate to jump into action when called upon by our key client.  Our dedicated crew members worked closely with our client to facilitate the smooth and speedy installation, implementing an efficient car park layout that addresses the parking and congestion issues around the hospital, ensuring an improved user experience for visitors and patients.

Over the course of 12 days, our line painting crews used our sprayable epoxy to install over 11,000m of white lines for parking bays and walkways, 75 pedestrian logos, 95 accessible bays, 75 arrows and give way markings.

The Result

The new and improved car park opened November 5^th 2025, marking a major milestone for the hospital’s infrastructure. Each level has been denoted with clear and concise markings including coloured coded pedestrian routes allowing users to safely navigate the high traffic area and making it easier to remember which level they’re parked on! The successful completion of this project is a vital step forward in addressing the growing demand for NHS services, ensuring hospital users can safely access resources from the moment they arrive.
